hi there

todays present is a little wooden box with a Leontopodium alpinum and a Gentiana bavarica drawn on it. I studied biology at one point, ages ago. i don't even remember why, probably cause i wanted to know how the world and nature works, and cause i wanted to know why nature is the way it is. very soon i realised that there is no 'why' just a "that's the way it is.." meaning of life. i should probably stop wondering about it and just enjoy life as it is. i don't know. wondering and always asking questions gives me security, and always something to do. i don't remember ever being bored. always wanting to go further, deeper, always curious about everything, cause u never know what u need knowledge for. and u can always learn from everything. at least that was always my way of living. but sometimes i want to put all of my questions into a little box and lock it - at least for some time. if u need a little box too post and its yours.

hello

my next present to you are ear warmers - everyone had them back in the 80s, when i was a kid. i remember getting my first pair, i felt so cool and trendy and rich. to go along with the trend is a strange thing. I remember the time when jogging highs were the latest thing. i wanted a pair so badly but they were so expensive my mother couldn't afford to by me some. and then my big brother was asked of his opinion. i remember it as if it were yesterday that he forbid me to wear jogging highs. being older and everything he really knew what was cool and what wasn't- today i'm really glad that i never had a pair of jogging highs. but its not easy as a kid if u don't get what u want. very exhausting. every 'no' feels like a lost battle where all the world is lost forever. at least it felt like that for me. so if u want the ear warmers - they are yours. take care :)

good morning!

my next present to u is a pair of missoni socks - i bought them in nyc. what a city - looks just like in the movies. everybody is friendly - when i came back to vienna i bought some bread in a bakery and the salesgirl looked at me as if i were a looney cause i was being so friendly. i had the feeling that everybody would fit in, in ny. no matter what you wear or colour of your skin. Never in my life had i seen as many jazz concerts in such a short amount of time. my boyfriends fault of course. so whoever needs a pair of socks feel free to post. take care!

hello...

"who wants meeee..." can u hear it? i can but i don't use bookmarks as bookmarks. that's what it is - that little salamander - a bookmark. my mother gave it to me - she did't knew that i only use old photographies as bookmarks. i never told her. sometimes i think that i'm an ungrateful bit** because i'm never satisfied with the presents i get. probably my own fault. i never tell people what i would really like to get or what i need. mostly i don't need anything anyway... only my father always asks me what i want for xmas or my birthday... that's because he once gave me an old book for my birthday and i had the courage to tell him that i'm not happy with that present - so he took it back and asked me what book i would like to have. since that day i have a "harenberg schauspielführer" in my bookshelf and i use it all the time. so whoever wants/ needs or would be happy about having a bookmark - pls post- and it's yours.

Hi there,

my present for u today is a little wooden-box with a picture of a chalet up in the mountains, i love the mountains. when i was 14teen years old i wanted to be a mountain guide, I spent all the time i had in the mountains, climbing, skiing, mountaineering - it clears your head out completely, the sun, the air, the quietness, the exercise - god i love it up there and another advantage is: there are no mosquitos if u are high enough. i hate them. back then i once tried to get two mountain guides drunk - not a chance - we drank schnapps all night long - i was wasted - the next day - we had an eighth hours tour ahead of us - i thought i had to die, and those two mad guys had no repercussions at all, they were called Hannes and the other one ...- his name strated with a P. or an S. - thats terrible, i've forgotten his name - he died a couple of months later - fell of a mountain. terrible. and i don't even remember his face...hmmmm that's life - take care! till tomorrow

hi there

i'm in a blog crisis - its quite hard - or as a friend of mine used to say "dur dur très dur"- what to give away?? - what to keep?? sometimes thinking about things is a lot easier than to act. i've made a decision - i have to be more generous - thinking about really everything several times is driving me nuts. so my next gift to you girls & guys iiiiiiisssss??

a littel tin can - "mothers little helper" is written upon. my boyfriends ex-wife forgot to take it with her when she moved out. well, thats not the only thing she's forgotten to take along, and it feels kind of strange still being surrounded by her things - well most of her stuff is long gone but her things just keep emerging out of the blue - nasty). things i cleaed out - pfff, i could write a book about!! - maybe i should contact an exterminator ;) - there's a great film on the ex-wife issue "forgetting sarah marshall" hilarious - anyway - the littel tin can is kind of cute and i hope one of you (perhaps a mother?) has a better use for it than i do.

hi there - todays present are three little frames - just big enough for a passport photo - when i'm travelling i love taking photos in photo booths. or when i'm out with a friend, squeezing together into a photo booth, grimacing and laughing-capturing the moment - so if u have a few old passport photos feel free to comment an they are yours :)

hi there!!! it's been a while - i could say that i've had problems with the internet or that i got arrested or whatever - but the simple truth is that i've been on vacation in NYC. wow - what a city!

so my first present after the break is a magnet for the fridge - with "I love NY" on it. NYC is amazing. big and noisy - light-reflecting from everywhere - sirens - people so friendly that, as a viennese you almost think that they are brainwashed or simply stupid - but the truth is that they are real masters in making the daily conversations as pleasant as posible - and therefore we (viennese) look pretty stupid in being so grumpy all the time. but no matter who is stupid and who's not - i had the feeling that no matter where you come from or who you are - you fit in. not like in any other city I've been to. so if you love ny too just post and the magnet is yours.

hi there - todays present is something to put on the wall - maybe on an empty wall - that's the way my head feels today - like an empty wall - you know - sometimes i want to think of a real good story for you guys - but my head is just empty - nothing... i think and i think - but nothing - as if i was braindead. somehow i like that state - little tirend and so much i could think about - but my brain is just turned off. very relaxing - i hope that my inspiration will come back to me .. tomorrow

i've been thinking a lot lately - about presents - obviously - about giving and receiving - about what i really need in life - and i think, it doesn't really matter as log as you DO something that you really like - i hope that in the end i'm going to be too busy living, doing the things i want to do and that there will be no time for me to brood over life ...

sooooo the present for today iiiiiisssssss: a bowl with three lemons in it - in german we have a saying: "sauer macht lustig" meaning: sour makes you funny - so who want's to be funny or sour?? just post...

hi girls!!!

yesterday night i went into the cellar and i have to tell you - i'm amazed!!! you are up to some weird presents - hihi - the cellar has been in the family since 1951 and i think it has never been cleared out. this is really starting to be fun - at least for me ;)

so today's present is for all the harry potter fans amongst you - or for all the heart broken ones... harry potter because of the white snow owl - and broken-hearted... cause you can never have enough good porcelain to smash onto the wall... i would - well i always smashed telephones when i got angry. but the last telephon i smashed - that's ages ago. back to the owl - the head is the lid of a little bowl - so actually it's a decapitated white snow owl - that's almost a tongue twister... that owl would scare me at night. just imagine it on your bedside table... you wake up in the middle of the night - maybe even after a nightmare UUUUAAAAAA - HELP - heart attack - lucky me it was wrapped when i found it in the cellar yesterday... so if you want it - just post... but pls tell me what you are going to do with it LOL

hi guys

so todays present for you is just going to be an empty frame. once i played in south tyrol the part of susanna in "the marriage of figaro". the room i stayed in was pretty empty - just a bed, a cupboard and no pictures on the wall but one empty frame. i loved looking at it. why? because it was the only thing to look at. :) the best thing about that room was the window cill. when i was not rehearsing i used to sit there and look at the tourists. i had a lot of time to think in south tyrol. and looking at an empty frame always reminds me of susanna - the virgin - just before her wedding day. empty - not knowing what the future will bring. so if you want it - just post.
